May 13, 2024 - Exodus 23:23

“For my angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, so you may live there. And I will destroy them completely.” Exodus 23:23 NLT

Lord, we thank you that when you call us, we don’t go alone. You and your armies go before us. It can be so easy to look at the new places you are calling us as overwhelming or think the battles that lie ahead are too great. But Lord, if we are following your instructions, we don’t have to worry about anything. These nations listed in this verse stood between the Israelites and their promised land. Show us the things in our lives that stand between us and our promised land. Once we identify them, let us have faith to look on them not as something huge that we can conquer, but as something that you will destroy completely so we can walk forward in the promises that you have for us. Grow our faith.

Lord, we want to push forward into the visions and callings you have for us. Help us not let anything hold us back. Help us learn to stand firm on your promises. Regardless of what situations look like, you will move us forward as long as we don’t turn and run. The Israelites did have to walk in obedience to see you conquer. But when they stepped forward, following your instructions, you came through for them. We praise you that you will do the same for us. We can stand strong on that fact.

In Jesus name, amen.
