May 11, 2023 - Luke‬ ‭16:10

‘“The one who manages the little he has been given with faithfulness and integrity will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more.” Luke 16:10 TPT

Lord, show us how to be trustworthy and faithful in even the smallest of details. We want to be people with the utmost integrity. Put a check in our spirit when even the smallest lie or exaggeration comes out of our mouth. Give us eyes to see anytime we try to cheat someone else out of even the smallest amount of what should be theirs. Show us when our pride is boasting even a little bit. When our selfishness is fighting to win where it shouldn’t be, open our eyes to it. Show us anytime we belittle someone even in the smallest way to make ourselves feel/look better or to justify our actions. Show us the little sins that we think don’t really matter or no one will find out about. Give us an overwhelming desire to get rid of all those things and anything else that needs to be lined up with your righteousness.

Help us remember that we are not to compare our lives with the world around us as a standard. We need to measure our lives up to you, Jesus. Make it clear to us when our actions are not measuring up. We never want to justify our sin. Give us the strength to humble ourselves, apologize, and do what we can to make things right, even in the smallest things. If we learn to do it there, then you say we will be promoted and give us more.

Lord, we thank you that we don’t have to try and live up to these high standards alone. We thank you for the Holy Spirit that walks with us and helps us overcome. Teach us to recognize your voice. Help us to be quick to hear and obey. You are a good and faithful God. We will be good and faithful servants to you in return. We love you, Father!
