March 6, 2022 - Amos 5:8
“It is the Lord who created the stars, the Pleiades and Orion. He turns darkness into morning and day into night. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The Lord is his name!” Amos 5:8 NLT
Lord, we praise you for the wonders of your creation. What a beautiful blessing you made for us. I love laying out in the darkness and staring at the vastness of your stars. I love imagining the far-off places and wondering about how you created them. I think it is so remarkable how unique they all are. With our eyes, we can see very little difference, other than some are slightly bigger or brighter than others. But to look at them through a telescope, the differences are remarkable. And the fact that some of them make sounds. You have a whole orchestra up there in space singing your praise. Wow. Lord, the beauty that you have created is just amazing. I can’t wait to get to heaven and see it all with our own eyes, and not just the stars, but all that you have created that we haven’t even begun to discover.
Lord, it is so impossible for us to fathom all that you are. You are the God who created all the stars and all the universes they represent. You created the heavens and earth and all that is within them. What a huge and incredible God you are. You are the greatest of the greatest. Nothing even begins to compare with you. We praise you for all that you are. Staring into the vastness of creation reminds us of just how small that we truly are. It reminds us of how amazing it is that you care about each of us. You know how many hairs are on our head, and not just because you are so smart that you just know, but because you care enough about us that you want to know even the tiniest details. We praise you for your grandness. We praise you for being the God over all and who made it all. We praise you for your detailed love for us.
In Jesus name, amen.
