March 5, 2022 - Colossians 1:9b

“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives” Colossians 1:9b NIV

Lord, we thank you so much for the knowledge that you want to impart to us. We come before you today and ask for your wisdom. We ask for a greater impartation of your understanding. You tell us in James that if we ask for wisdom you will give it to us in abundance without finding fault. Lord, we come before you today asking that you continually fill us with more.

Holy Spirit, this verse tells us that our wisdom and understanding will come through you. Today, please come and help us. Give us more of your understanding. Help us understand the ways of God. Help us fine tune our discernment to recognize your voice and what you are doing. Help us decipher between your voice, the voice of the enemy, and even our own thoughts. Help make that clear. We want to know you so well that recognizing your voice is never an issue. We can trust that if something doesn’t line up 100% to your character and ways that it isn’t from you. So, increase our knowledge of you and your ways.

We want to be able to clearly hear and understand your will. We want to always walk in obedience to all that you are asking. To do that we have to know what you are asking. We want to know your voice to the point that even if what you are saying to us sounds crazy and outlandish, we will have no issue obeying because we know that it came from you. Let our lives be marked by how closely we follow your words for us and the knowledge, wisdom, understanding and discernment that we walk in. We praise you for the increase of these things that we are going to start seeing in our lives!
