March 31, 2022 - Romans 8:28

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 NLT

Lord, I thank you for how you work in our lives. It is really easy for us to want to punish ourselves for our mistakes. We can replay them again and again in our minds and think of all the things we did wrong. It can be good for us to review and learn so we don’t make the same mistake again, but we can’t get stuck there. Lord, we want to grow from our mistakes. I believe that my mistakes don’t have to break me or define me, but they make me stronger. That is what we want in our lives, Lord.

Would you help us learn and grow from the mistakes we have made in our lives. Show us why we made that mistake and how we can avoid making it again. Show us how to strengthen ourselves in that area so we don’t fail there again. Open our eyes to the stumbling blocks that easily trip us up. Show us the root of the problem and how to uproot it and avoid it.

Lord, we thank you for the way you can turn things around. We thank you for what failures and mistakes can teach us and how they can make us stronger. We thank you how you can use what we learn through them to help other people. We thank you that we don’t have to get stuck in that place, but that you want to see us forgiven, healed, and redeemed from any mistakes that we have made. We praise you that nothing is too big of a failure for your grace to cover or your healing power to heal and redeem. We thank you for all the stories in the bible of people with big mistakes that you used in big ways when they allowed you to redeem their mistakes. We praise you for your grace, forgiveness, and redemption. You are such an amazing God to serve.
