March 30, 2023 - John‬ ‭14:12-14

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” John 14:12-14 NLT

Lord, every time I read this verse I am challenged and amazed. I find it crazy to think that I can do greater works than you, Jesus. You raised people from the dead, healed the sick just by speaking it, set people free in an instant, had the wisdom to leave the Pharisees dumbfounded every time that they thought they had you trapped, had such amazing discernment and knowledge, had such a close and intimate relationship with the father. How wonderful to think that we can do all these things and more. We have the same power living in us as you had in you. We just need to have the faith and wisdom to know how to use it.

I find that thought so challenging. Please give us more of your faith and courage. Help us take the time to see the world through your eyes. Tune us into your voice on a deeper level that at the slightest prompting we will jump into whatever you are asking of us. Give us the courage to step out of our comfort zones and trust you to come through and do big things through us.

We thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to walk with us and work through us. You are just waiting for us to step out in big faith. Help us make it a lifestyle. Thank you for the power that lives within us. You long to answer prayers that are prayed with faith and expectancy. Thank you that we get to walk in such intimacy with you. Help us to walk each second of each day tuned into you and looking for opportunities for you to work through us.
