March 27, 2022 - Micah 7:7
“As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.” Micah 7:7 NLT
Lord, we praise you that we can always look to you for help. You are always there and available. You will not walk away or ignore us. Even when we don’t hear you answer or feel you near, that doesn’t mean that you are not there, and you are not doing something. We can rest assured at that fact. You might be just out of sight/reach, like a parent teaching a child to walk. The parent at some point must let go if the child will ever walk on his own. The parent who never lets go isn’t helping the child, but stunting his growth. The child must learn to step out alone, and will fall many times, but it is through that process he is strengthened, and he learns. The parent is still there helping clear the path and making sure that when he falls it isn’t catastrophic. They are there cheering the child on, even if the child would rather the parent hold on and not let go. In those seasons where we feel alone and you seem nowhere to be found, remind us of this concept. We want to not only walk in you but run. We must strengthen our muscles and step out in faith.
Lord, we praise you that we can confidently trust you to save us. Regardless of what the situation we find ourselves in, help us learn to wait with confidence in you. Even when we are pinned between the Red Sea and Pharoah’s army, let us not fret, but stand there expecting you to make a way. We know that you both see and hear us. There is nothing that escapes you. Grow our faith and our ability to rest in your peace even when we have every reason to freak out. Even when the only solution means seeing the impossible done, help us stand with faith before the God of the impossible. Even if the situation turns out differently than we wanted, we will still trust you.
In Jesus name, amen.
