“So abandon every form of evil, deceit, hypocrisy, feelings of jealousy and slander. In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life—” 1 Peter 2:1-2 TPT
Lord, we thank you so much that you gave us your Word. You care for us so much. We thank you that it isn’t just a normal book, but it is alive. It is full of you. It is you. Every time we read it you highlight something new to us that we didn’t see before. We thank you that it is our road map for this journey of life.
We thank you that it will grow us to maturity. Thank you that it nourishes us providing life for us. It makes us strong. It enables us to abandon every form of evil, deceit, hypocrisy, feelings of jealousy and slander. How amazing that we can get rid of all of those things in our lives. You just gave us such an amazing key.
Help us to dig into your word more. Give us such a hunger for it. Make us crave it like we do our favorite food. When we get busy and it gets overlooked make our spirit crave it until we stop and make time for it. Give us an overwhelming desire to dig deeper in it. Open our eyes to see new things. Give us amazing revelations. Take us deeper than we ever imagined. Grow our wisdom as we go deeper. Lock your words into our memories and let it transform who we are into who You designed us to be.
We are so grateful for how you speak to us through it. Thank you, Father for how you never leave us alone. Thank you that if we read and apply it we can never get lost. We truly are so very grateful! Thank you for how you love and care for us.
In Jesus name, amen.
