March 19, 2022 - Ephesians 1:4-5
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT
Jesus, what an honor that you have chosen us as your bride. Us. You want us. You saw each one of us and you said, “Yes, I want you. I love you.” Wow. How amazing! We could never deserve that or even that kind of love. Yet you see us as valuable. You created every aspect of who we are, and you call your creation a masterpiece. How wonderful that we can rest in your love. We can walk in freedom and confidence knowing that we are fully loved and accepted by you. What peace that brings to us. We praise you Lord, for your amazing love for us.
We thank you that you have chosen us to be holy and without fault in your eyes. We are so grateful that you are in us and will help us live a holy life. We thank you for your forgiveness. We praise you that when we bring our sins to you and ask forgiveness, you erase them. They are gone and you find us without fault. This is so amazing and hard to understand but help us learn to walk out in the freedom this truth brings.
We praise you that you have adopted us into your family. We are your own. We praise you that you claim us and have given us the authority that comes with being a child of the King of Kings. We praise you that you fully see all of us and you still want us. We praise you that you find pleasure in us. Help us learn to live our lives in a way that brings honor and blessings to you. We want to represent you well as our Father to the world around us. Show us any areas of our lives in which we can do better at this. We want to learn to live our life fully abandoned to loving you.
