March 16, 2022 - 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:4-5

“And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you. May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 3:4-5 NLT

Lord, I pray that you help us always walk in all that you have commanded us to do. We praise you that you go with us. We praise you for your help. What an amazing gift you are to us, Holy Spirit. We thank you for how you lead and guide us. We thank you for how you teach us and challenge us to grow. We want to always walk in confidence that we are following you. If we ever start to stray from you, please make it so clear to us what we are doing. If we ever start to go in a direction that isn’t what you want for us, we give you permission to clearly close the door and redirect us.

We always want to be following the exact path that you have laid out for us. We want to walk in full obedience to all that you ask of us. We ask that you lead us into a full understanding of your love. Teach us how to put it into action in our lives. We want to look at others through your eyes of love. We ask that you help us love others like you want them to be loved.

Lord, teach us your patient endurance. Not an easy thing to pray, but we need to learn how to walk this out. We want to learn how to patiently await you and the things you release. Help us have the endurance that we need to fully run this race for you. Help us learn how to push through when times are tough, and we just want to quit or return to where things were easier. We never want to live a passive life that settles for less than all that you have for us. We want to change the world and take back what the enemy has stolen from you. To do that, we must know how to walk in obedience and endurance. Train us up, Lord.

In Jesus name, amen.
