March 14, 2024 - 1 Chronicles 16:23-27
“Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling.” 1 Chronicles 16:23-27 NLT
Oh, our Magnificent God, you are worthy of all praise. There is no other god like you. You are the God Almighty. The King of kings and the Lord of lords. You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. There was no one before you and there will be no one after you. None can compare to your matchless worth. None can compare to your power. None can compare to your wisdom and creativity. None can compare to the way you love and cherish us. We praise you for your saving grace that makes us whole. We praise you that your love and acceptance give us our value. Let us dwell with you and give us your heart. To have your heart is to have a heart for the lost.
How can we keep you, our amazing God to ourselves? It is an injustice to do so. Lord, we want to proclaim your name to the ends of the earth. We want to publish your glorious deeds among the nations. Lord, make those more than just words that sound good. Show us how we can actually do that. Show us how we can do our part to make your name known among those who don’t have access to knowing you. Lord, are you calling us to go? Are you calling us to regularly intercede for the lost? Are you calling us to give to those who are actually going? Are we called to disciple and send out others? Lord, there are many ways it could happen, make clear our part. For you are worthy of all the nations glorifying your name. Let it be so, Lord, let it be so.
