June 9, 2022 - Philippians 1:27

“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.” Philippians 1:27 NIV

Lord, we pray this verse would be an accurate picture of the church. Please draw us closer to you and transform us to be more like you. We pray that your bride would be known as people who conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Lord, that must start with each one of us. Help us hold ourselves accountable for our thoughts and our actions - those seen in public and those that are hidden and only you see. We want you to judge our hearts and our private lives, finding them being lived in a way that honors you. Open our eyes to any places that we need to ask forgiveness and make changes.

Jesus, give each of us in your body clear instructions on what our role is and how we can work together in unity to accomplish your calling. We want to all work as the body part that you have designed each of us to be. We pray that we would all take the time to ask you where you have called us to serve in this season and how we are to walk that out. We know that if each of us will step up and fulfill the role you have called us to, that we as the body can really accomplish some great things for you. Show us how to see the other people in your body through your eyes and love them like you love them. Teach us how to challenge each person in their walk with you in a loving and effective way. We want to strive together as one body, moving forward together to spread your gospel. We ask that you give each of us more of a passion for this mission. Give us as a body a clear strategy on how to accomplish the spreading your gospel and seeing the Great Commission fulfilled.
