June 7, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭2:7-8

“The king proclaims the Lord’s decree: “The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son. Today I have become your Father. Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession.” Psalms 2:7-8 NLT

Lord, we thank you so much that you have adopted us as your children. You are the perfect father who, when you adopt us, you treat us as your own. Open our eyes to all that this really means. Show us the love that is attached to this action. Show us the authority that comes to us through this action. Take off any lies and blinders the enemy tries to blind us with and keep us walking in ignorance or disbelief in this area. We want to walk in the freedom and authority that comes with being adopted by you. Teach us how.

Lord, today we also want to thank you for giving us the nations as our inheritance. We want to accept it and do all we can to make your name known throughout the whole world. Open the right door and lead us to the right places. Train us on how to be great fishers of men. Lord, we want to have a big part in seeing men from every nation, tribe and tongue bowing before your throne worshipping you. Lord, we surrender our lives to this calling for it is the desire of your heart that none should perish and go to hell, but that all will come into relationship with you. Lord, we thank you for this inheritance and ask that you would lead and guide our every step in making it a reality in our lives.

Thank you so much for your love for us. Thank you for adopting us. Thank you for being our perfect father. Thank you for the inheritance you give us. We commit ourselves to walking in the authority that comes with being your sons & daughters. We love you, Daddy!
