June 6, 2023 - Psalms 149:1-5

“Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King. Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them. Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.” Psalms 149:1-5 NLT

Lord, you are worthy! All praise to your name. Let your praise always be on our lips. Let everything about our lives exalt your holy name. We give you our everything. You are the Almighty God. You sit above it all. All praise is due to you. We praise you for being our rock and fortress. We praise you for how you love us sacrificially. We praise you for how you are perfect and holy. We praise you for your mercy and grace. We praise you that you are all-knowing. We praise you for your faithfulness and trustworthiness. We praise you that there is no other like you. No one comes close to comparing to you. You are the one and only true God. The alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the great I AM. Let our praise be more than just words on our lips, but a lifestyle we live.

Lord, we want you to find delight when you look at us. Let our life bring you glory. Make us humble people so that we can be crowned with your victory. Make us faithful so that we can be honored by you. And what an honor it is to live a lifestyle of praise to you all the days of our lives.

In Jesus name, amen.
