June 5, 2022 - Micah 7:9
“I will be patient as the LORD punishes me, for I have sinned against him. But after that, he will take up my case and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies. The LORD will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness.” Micah 7:9 NLT
Lord, we thank you for your discipline. It is so often that in dealing with the consequences of our sins and mistakes that we learn to avoid doing those things again. We would much rather have a Father who loves us enough to discipline us than one who doesn’t care. What a wonderful blessing that is to us. Lord, help us learn to be patient and receptive while we are punished. Help us accept it humbly and press in to learning all that we can from the experience. We don’t want to repeat the same mistakes again because we didn’t take the time to learn. We pray that you open our eyes to really see were our errors where and how they could have been avoided. Give us your insight on what we need to do differently or change to keep that from happening again.
Lord, we praise you for taking up our case. You are hands down the best representative that we could ever have. You love us with the purest of unconditional love and you long to see us succeed in every area of our lives. You will do all that you can to create a way for that to happen, but ultimately it is up to us to make the correct decisions. Help us in that process. We want to live a holy life that is always pursuing after you. We want to be pure enough that we are invited into the Holy Place to see you in your righteousness. We don’t want anything in our lives to hold back anything you want to reveal to us. We invite your purifying fire into our lives. Remove the things that are not of you. We welcome that in knowing that the outcome will be so worth the process. We thank you that you walk us through that process, and we are never alone.
In Jesus name, amen.
