June 3, 2024 - 2 Corinthians 12:9

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT

Lord, we praise you for your grace. We praise you that it is all that we need. Paul said this after begging you to remove a “thorn in his flesh.” Paul was suffering and he thought you should set him free from it, yet your response was that your grace was enough. You told him that your power works best in his weakness. This is something that isn’t too easy to hear. Help us embrace it like Paul did. Sometimes there are things that you allow into our lives, things that hurt or are things we see as weaknesses. Lord, help us learn to bring them to you and allow you to use them. Help us to see them as an opportunity to allow your glory to shine through our lives in a brighter way. We want your power to work in and through us.

Lord, use us in any form. Teach us how to walk in your grace. In Hebrews 4:16, you tell us that we will find your grace when we need it most, when we boldly approach your throne. Lord, help us remember to come and receive the grace that you want to give us to endure the “thorns in our flesh”. Your grace is such a beautiful gift that can make such a huge difference in how we live our lives. Thank you so much for the gift of grace. Praise you that it is all that we need. We praise you that you are enough for us.

In Jesus name, amen.
