June 28, 2023 - 2 Corinthians‬ ‭7:1

“Beloved ones, with promises like these, and because of our deepest respect and worship of God, we must remove everything from our lives that contaminates body and spirit, and continue to complete the development of holiness within us.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 TPT

Lord, we thank you so much for your promises. We are so loved by you. Help us love you like you love us. Help us learn to live in a way that brings you joy. Help us to overcome temptation and choose to walk away from sin. Help us to recognize and remove anything that contaminates us. We don’t want to allow anything into our lives that hurts you. Remind us of this thought anytime we need to decide to choose a sinful action or turn away from it.

We want to live to honor your name and be a good example of you to the world around us. Let us live our lives in a way that itself becomes an act of worship to you. Purify us so we can reflect you in a clearer way.

We don’t want anything to contaminate us. Highlight any contaminate that we have allowed to stay. Forgive us for allowing things to stay that we think we can’t overcome, or we try to excuse. Help us overcome them. Open our eyes to see them the way you see them. Help us detest them the way you do. Teach us how to walk a holy life the way you did. Holy Spirit, we invite you to come and hold us accountable. Give us the power to overcome. Prompt us when we are about to walk into something we shouldn’t. Continue to develop a lifestyle of holiness in us every day.

Thank you for how you are working in us. Thank you that you don’t make us overcome sin in our own strength. You are with us and help us. You make walking in holiness possible. We thank you and praise your Holy name.

In Jesus name, amen.
