June 27, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭23:1-2‬

“Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss.” Psalms 23:1-2 TPT

Lord, I love these verses and how this version words it. We thank you for being our best friend. You know us better than anyone else. You know us better than we know ourselves. You see everything about us, and yet you still love us. You choose us. You care for our every need. You are our shepherd. We are so loved by you.

Lord, we do thank you for how you care for us always. We do not lack. We thank you that in you we have more than enough. Teach us how to be content where you have us and not envy what others have. Teach us to not focus on what we think we are lacking but rejoice in what we have.

Lord, we thank you for your resting place. We thank you that you are our peace. Regardless of what is going on in our world and how uncertain things may be, we can find that resting place in you. Teach us how to live there. Teach us how to release worry and fear, and not allow the enemy to trap us in them. We want to learn to live in that oasis of peace right beside the quiet brook of bliss. Reveal to us the principles to make that possible to live in that place.

We thank you for your luxurious love. How amazing is it to live in the fountain of that love. We thank you that you never withhold it from us. It is there for our taking, always. Help us always to be willing to do what it takes to step into the stream of it. Help us to let go of the things that keep us from it.

Thank you, Father, for the beauty of your love and your place of peace. What an honor it is to be cared for and cherished by you. You are such an awesome God! We love you deeply.
