June 26, 2022 - 2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV
Lord, teach us what it really means to walk by faith. We want to be a people that are known by our faith and see you do miraculous things because of our faith. Teach us how to trust you and believe in you regardless of what the circumstances tell us. Open our eyes to understand your character more and more so our trust in you deepens. We want to learn to trust you and your character even when you don’t do what we want, even when it is painful, and we don’t understand. We want to have the faith to still trust in you in those times. For that is what real faith is all about.
Faith can’t be based on what we can see, understand, or explain. Faith can’t be based on how we feel. Our emotions will lie to us, and our understanding will limit us. To walk in faith, we must learn to trust you when we can’t see how, and it feels impossible. Lord, that is when we want our faith to stand the strongest. In those times we want to stand strong in the belief of who you are and what you can do. You said that faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. We want to live a life of great faith that sees you move in such mighty ways that changes the world we live in. We want to walk in the kind of faith needed to push back the enemy and take back what he has stolen from you, our Lord. Please come and challenge us until our faith is solid in you.
