June 22, 2023 - Isaiah 55:3 & 6
““Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David...Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.” Isaiah 55:3 & 6 NLT
Lord, we love you so much. We thank you for all the promises you give us to prosper and fulfill us. You are such a loving and caring God. You created us to fellowship with you and be full of life through you. You long to speak with us and to hear from us. Forgive us for all the times that we allow other stuff to crowd out time with you. Even when the stuff keeping us busy is work for you, it shouldn’t take the place of you.
We want to be people who know you and value spending time with you. People who intimately know your voice. Let us be people who listen and obey everything you tell us. Let us be people who truly live a fulfilled life in you. Let us live joy-filled lives that overflow to everyone around us. Let us be wells of sunshine that brighten up everything around us because of your presence in us. Let these things be true in us today.
Lord, we thank you for your covenants with us. Let us fall more deeply in love with you. Let us experience your love on even deeper levels so we can love you back more than ever. You are so worthy of our love. You are our most valuable treasure. Let us seek you above all else. On those days when you seem hard to find and far from us, let us remember the truth and still press into finding you. Thank you that your love for us is there and strong even when we don’t feel it. Let us remain faithful even in those times. For you are worthy of praise even when we need to work harder to do so.
