June 20, 2023 - Ephesians‬ ‭3:17-19

“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:17-19 NLT

Lord, we thank you so much that you call our hearts your home. It is a pretty crazy concept that you, the God of the universe, would make a home within us. We are just mere humans who mess up all the time, yet you want to live in us. Crazy. We thank you that we don’t have to fully understand you and your love to experience you. We thank you that we can’t understand you, because you wouldn’t be much of a God if our mere brains could grasp you.

Lord, help us grow our roots down into you so that we can grow strong enough that even in the hard seasons when we walk through the deserts we will not suffer or wither, and when the wind blows hard, we will not be uprooted because we are deeply rooted.

Lord, take us deeper in knowing your love for us. Give us a deep experience that changes how we see you, ourselves, and the world. Let us experience it in a way that it breaks strongholds and lies in our lives.

Lord, we thank you that you want to make us complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from you. We thank you that you have good and full plans for us. We thank you that your power is in us to be overcomers and to help others overcome in their lives. You are so amazingly good to us, Father!

In Jesus name, amen.
