June 20, 2022 - Ezekiel 36:26-28
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.” Ezekiel 36:26-28 ESV
Lord, I love the hope that these verses give us. We thank you so much that you are the God who loves to renew us. You don’t want to kind of clean us up and set us on our way. You want to make us new again. When we yield our lives to you and allow you to work in us, you make us new again. You transform us into the people that you designed us to be. The parts of us that have been stained, damaged, or broken are not ignored or patched up, they are made new. You work with us in the most loving way to make new all that is there. This process will not be easy or without pain, but if we trust you, you will guide us through the restoration process and heal the damaged places. We praise you for your love and restoration.
We praise you for not giving us a list of rules and then leaving us on our own to figure out how to walk in them. We praise you for leading and guiding us. We praise you for leaving us your Holy Spirit to help us overcome the temptations that keep us from walking in your ways. Holy Spirit, we thank you for your help and we invite you to help us in this area. Cause us to walk in the ways of God and help us to carefully walk a righteous life that will bring glory to God in all we do.
Lord, we praise you for calling us your people. We belong to you and are cherished by you. We are honored to call you our God. We thank you for the place that you have prepared for each of us to dwell. We praise you for all your promises for each one of us.
