June 17, 2024 - 1 Corinthians 1:17
“For the Anointed One has sent me on a mission, not to see how many I could baptize, but to proclaim the good news. And I declare this message stripped of all philosophical arguments that empty the cross of its true power. For I trust in the all-sufficient cross of Christ alone.” 1 Corinthians 1:17 TPT
Lord, we thank you for the mission that you have sent us all on. It shows how much you value us and love the world. The salvation of the lost is what weighs the heaviest on your heart and you have entrusted us to take on this mission. It shows how much you really do value us to give us your most important mission. We want to be committed to this mission. We want to do all that we can to show the lost your love for them. Like Paul said in this verse, not so that we can boast in the number that we brought to you, but because the lost need you and we want to bring joy to your heart. Remind us of the importance of this mission. Help us not to make it more complicated than it needs to be. Jesus, we just need to preach you. When we live in a way that truly demonstrates your pure love and other attributes, people see something different about us. Holy Spirit, we ask for you to draw them to you through us. Lord, you are worthy to receive the reward of your suffering and we want to do all we can to make that happen.
