June 13, 2022 - ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:1-6‬

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.” 1 Timothy 2:1-6 NLT

Lord, we want to pray for our world leaders, presidents, and kings. We thank you for having your hands on all that is happening in our world. Nothing is outside of your ability. We thank you for the leaders you have placed in their positions. Even those who are not honoring you are not beyond your reach. We thank you that you can change hearts and situations in an instant. We ask for your Holy Spirit to fall on them and reveal yourself to them. Let them see the truth of who you are with fresh eyes and draw them to you. We ask that you uproot any corrupt behavior and replace it with honesty, fairness, and generosity. Bring to light that which would like to remain hidden in the darkness. Increase a desire to live godly lives that would reflect you to the people they are leading. Give them supernatural wisdom on how to do this.

Lord, we thank you for the amazing gift of salvation. We ask again for your Holy Spirit to sweep over the earth and reveal more of who you are to our world. Let this knowledge start with the world leaders and then help them lead us in knowing more of you. Help us all understand more of your truth. We also ask for your reconciling power to sweep over the earth and bring unity and peace. Let your name be glorified in all the earth!
