June 12, 2022 - Lamentations‬ ‭3:24-26‬

“I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So, it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.” Lamentations 3:24-26 NLT

Lord, what an amazing inheritance you are to us. We could never get anything of more value. What we have to look forward to is beyond comprehension. Even with all the accounts of who you are and the glimpse of Heaven we get from the Bible, these are nothing compared to what it will really be like once we arrive in Heaven and meet you face to face. What we are receiving from you is way beyond what we deserve. We thank you for being such a loving and generous God. We thank you for the gifts you have given to us and the more that are to come.

We praise you for being our hope. We never have to doubt that you will be there for us. No matter what the situation we are facing, we can depend on you. Help us to always keep our eyes focused on you and look to you first for our deliverance.

Teach us to search you out and keep our eyes on you even in the roughest storm. We praise you for the promise that you are good to us when we depend on you and search you out. You will not let us down when we take the time to find you, especially in the seasons when so many other things are pulling for our attention – when finding you isn’t easy. Help us persevere through and keep you as our priority.

In those times when we feel attacked and just want to give up or defend ourselves teach us to patiently walk in obedience to what you are telling us. We want you to be our defender and our savior. We praise you that, unlike us, you will do the job fully and correctly. You are our perfect Savior. We surrender to you and will wait patiently for you to come to our aid. Praise you that your ways and time are always perfect!!
