June 10, 2022 - Psalms 27:1

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalms 27:1 ESV

Lord, we praise you for being our light. Light will always push out darkness. Darkness can never push out the light. We praise you for how powerful you are. You can never be overcome! We praise you that when we have you in us, we never have to fear the dark. Darkness or evil can never overcome us. We praise you for that. Help us remember that when we feel like we are being attacked from all sides. When we feel like the darkness wants to extinguish our light, it isn’t possible. Help us stand strong on the promise.

Lord, we praise you that you are our salvation! Jesus, we are so grateful for the price that you paid to purchase our salvation. We thank you that you made it possible for us to be made whole. We can now come into the holy of holies and know you intimately. We are called sons and daughters by you. You are so worthy of our praise. We also praise you that you are not only our savior because you paid that price for our sins. No, you continually rescue us from the schemes of the enemy, from what other people do to us, from our own mistakes, from moments when life just seems overwhelming, basically anytime we call out your name, you are there for us. You are so faithful and can always be trusted. Nothing can defeat us when you are standing guard over us. We praise the name of the Lord.

Lord, we praise you that you are our stronghold. We can cling to you no matter what we are facing in life. No matter what storms are battering us, we know that when we are grounded in you that we will not be uprooted. You are our fortified fortress that cannot be overtaken. When we are hidden in you, we have no reason to fear. We stand strong on these promises! All praise to your name, our Lord.
