June 1, 2023 - Psalms 139:17-18
“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” Psalms 139:17-18 NLT
Lord, we praise you for how you love us. Your love is amazing. Praise you that your thoughts for us outnumber the grains of sand. How remarkable is that fact. We can’t even comprehend how many grains of sand there are. We also praise you that your thoughts toward us are precious. No matter how much we mess up, you still love and value us. Help us fully live in the understanding of how much you love and cherish us. Give us a greater understanding of what it truly means to be loved by you.
Lord, today we ask for you to show each of us at least one thing that you absolutely love about us. Help us to take that truth and treasure it. Let it transform us. We also ask for you to show us at least one lie that we are believing about ourselves and how to replace that lie with your truth. Thank you that replacing these lies makes you happy. Thank you that our existence makes you happy. Thank you that you created us with such thought and care. Thank you for making us marvelously breathtaking. Thank you for how you always take the time to truly see and know us. Thank you for the huge plans that you have for each of us. Thank you for how you love us with such a pure and overwhelming love.
Thank you for always being with us. When we wake, throughout our day, when we lay down, and as we sleep, we are completely surrounded by you. Help us remember even when we don’t feel you, that you are there and fully aware of every detail of our lives. Thank you that we are your prized possession, and you will never forget us. We want you to be the most prized possession in our lives as well. Help us to always live our lives to glorify you.
