July 8, 2024 - Judges 17:6

“In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.” Judges 17:6 NLT

Jesus, we want to invite you to be the King over our lives. Come and rule. Help us to live in a way that is pleasing to you. We don’t want to do what seems right in our own eyes. As much as we would love to think our moral compass is always right, we know that when we compare it to your pure white, it definitely comes up short. Our selfish desires take charge too often and steer away from holiness. Help us do better. Help us dig into your word and apply it to our lives. We thank you so much for giving it to us. What a precious gift to show us how to live in a way that is pleasing to you. It also shows us how we can be successful in yielding our lives to you as our King. Show us what it means to truly yield to your Lordship and give you full control. Help us to always walk in joyful obedience to everything you ask of us. You are worthy of our everything.

In Jesus name, amen.
