July 7, 2024 - Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭26

“Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.” Proverbs 28:26 NLT

Lord, we praise you for your wisdom and insights. We praise you that you want to give both of these things to us in abundance. We praise you for being the God of wisdom. All wisdom comes directly from you. There is nothing that you don’t know. Nothing can take you by surprise. Not only do you know everything, but you always want the best for us. How can we not trust you when we understand those two facts. Help us learn to always stop and ask you for your insights and wisdom. We don’t want to run ahead in our own insights. Please help us not become a fool thinking that we know best. How can we possibly know best? We can’t see what is coming in the future. We can only assume what is really happening behind the scenes. We can’t read other people’s thoughts or intentions. Lord, we think we know what the best options for us are, but we can’t possibly know that. Help us learn to trust you and your ways in every decision we make. Thank you for wanting to be a part of our lives. Thank you that you long to lead and guide us. Thank you for wanting to give us your insight. You are such a wonderful God. We invite you into our lives, and we commit to listening and obeying all you tell us.

In Jesus name, amen.
