“For God does not show favoritism.” Romans 2:11 NLT

Lord, what amazing freedom there is in this Bible verse. We live in a world where so often favoritism and prejudices are all around us. They can so easily affect how we are seen and judged by the world, as well as how we see and judge the world. We must be very purposeful to not allow those to seep into our world view or they naturally will. How wonderful for us to be able to trust in the fact that with you we are fully loved and accepted just as we are. Nothing we can do or not do will change the way you love and accept us. We never have to wonder about being second rate with you. We praise you for how loving you are. Help us understand how your love works. We can be fully loved and accepted, but that doesn’t mean that we can escape punishment or justice. We all will give account for our sins, but we praise you that you have made a way for us to all to be forgiven. You did that for each and every one of us. Thank you that no one is excluded. You love us all the same and offer mercy, love, grace, and forgiveness to each of us. We only have to accept the gift that Jesus has offered us. All praise be to you, Jesus, for all that you have done for us. You are most worthy for all praise and honor.
