July 6, 2023 - James 1:25
“But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” James 1:25 NLT
Lord, we thank you that your law is perfect. When we follow your ways, we never have to worry about if we are doing the right thing or not. We also thank you that your laws are made not to limit us but to set us free. And it is true, they do set us free. How amazing is the freedom when we are walking within your laws. You designed us and know what will truly fulfill us. You have given us boundaries not to limit us, but so we can prosper.
Lord, we ask for you to brand your laws and your ways into who we are. Brand it into our hearts and souls. Put it in us in a way that it can never be forgotten. We never want to forget or overlook them. Holy Spirit, we ask for you to always walk with us and make it so clear to us when we start to step outside of the law. Bring your conviction upon us heavily when needed. Do what is necessary to always keep us walking in your ways.
Lord, we thank you that this verse promises that when we walk in your laws and don’t forget them that you will bless us. We thank you for all the blessings that we already see in our lives. You are amazing to us. We thank you that as you grow us and help us walk more in your laws that there are more blessings to come. You are such a wonderful and generous God. Thank you for how you love to bless us. We want to repay that back to you. Help us to live our lives in a way that honors and blesses you all our days. Show us what we can do that will give you the desires of your heart. Teach us how to love you and others like you love us. You are worthy of our lives and all the honor we can give you.
