July 4, 2022 - Isaiah 25:6-8
“On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth.” Isaiah 25:6-8 NIV
Lord, we can’t wait for the day when we get to feast with you. We can’t begin to imagine the lavish banquet you will prepare. Even the most exquisite banquet you could find in any palace here on earth won’t even begin to compare to yours. I am sure that we will experience so many new flavors. It will be a feast for all our senses. Everything will be fresh and perfectly prepared and served. From the largest to smallest detail will all be in place. Lord, we love how wonderful you are to us. The way you extravagantly bless us is incredible. You don’t skimp on anything. How marvelous you are!
Lord, we praise you that you are the God that sets us free. Death will no longer have any power over us. We are so excited to get to spend eternity with you. We can’t wait to praise your name forever. You have defeated sin and death. We praise you that you are all powerful and nothing can defeat you. Every knee will one day bow and declare you the God-over-all. Help us to do all we can to bring as many people as possible to that point here on earth so that they can spend eternity with you. We praise you for the place that you have prepared for each of us. We praise you that sorrow has no place there. We praise you that fear and shame don’t either. We praise you for the eternal freedom that we get to walk in because of your mercy and grace. You are truly the greatest and your love for us is remarkable. All praise be to your name.
