July 31, 2022 - Revelations 22:14

“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” Revelations 22:14 NKJV

Lord, we praise you for your blessings. They are amazing. You are wonderful to us. Your blessings come to us every day. We praise you for your salvation. Thank you for rescuing us from the sin that we each had gotten ourselves ensnared in. We are so grateful that you sacrificed yourself in our place so we could find freedom. We praise you that when we make you our Lord, we gain access to enter through the gates into heaven and spend eternity with you. That is by far the greatest blessing we could ever receive. We deserved the punishment of death we had coming. You were without sin and didn’t deserve to pay the price that you paid. Yet, you chose to come and pay our debt. You restored what Satan tried to destroy and made a way for us to personally commune with you again.

Lord, we want to follow all your commandments. You deserve all of our allegiance to you. We never want to choose to do anything that would cause you pain. Grow us so that our desire to please and follow you overcomes our selfish desires. Open our eyes to the destruction that sin causes in our lives, even the little things that we want so badly to excuse away. We don’t want to give a place to anything that is displeasing to you. Please come and highlight the things that we don’t even recognize. Help us be humble enough to acknowledge them and righteous enough to want to eliminate them. Help us uproot negative thought patterns and deeply rooted lies. Show us how to break the habitual sins that we think we can’t be free of. Give us clear strategies on how to break off generational curses and patterns that are not pleasing to you. We invite you to do what needs to be done to purify us. We want to live a life pleasing to you.
