July 3, 2023 - Proverbs‬ ‭5:21

“For God sees everything you do and his eyes are wide open as he observes every single habit you have.” Proverbs 5:21 TPT

Lord, we thank you that this verse doesn’t have to freak us out. You can see everything. Every good and bad habit. Every good and bad thought. We thank you for that. We thank you that we can hide nothing from you. There is such freedom in that thought. You see it all and know it all and yet you fully love us. There is nothing that we can do that will change your love for us. Such freedom. We don’t have to walk in fear of being found out. We don’t have to work to hide things or keep up a charade that everything is perfect when it isn’t. We can just be us - broken, stained, not perfect, messed up and often making mistakes. Yet loved. Fully loved. Perfectly loved. Perfectly accepted just as we are.

Lord, we thank you for your love and acceptance. We thank you for how you love us unconditionally. We thank you for the freedom it allows us to walk in. Help us to fully understand that freedom. We don’t want to choose to walk in bondage when you paid so much for that freedom, so show us any areas in our lives where we are not embracing the fullness of freedom.

Lord, we ask that as you see everything and understand every motive we have, please continue to purify our lives. We invite your convictions into our lives and ask that you not allow us to let sin have a place in our lives. Let the sin in us break our heart like it does yours. Let us see it through your eyes. Turn up the heat when needed to burn out the impurities. Let them come to the surface so we can see them. Make us more like you, Lord. Transform us so our every thought and action glorifies you.

In Jesus name, amen.
