July 27, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭31:24

“So, cheer up! Take courage, all you who love him. Wait for him to break through for you, all who trust in him!” Psalms 31:24 TPT

Yes, Lord, let us be people who are full of joy and cheer. What an honor that we get to serve and love you all the days of our lives. You are so worthy of our lives. We give them to you afresh again today and commit our everything to you.

Today, no matter what we face, help us remember that we don’t face it alone. We choose to stir up our courage and put our trust in you. We don’t want to try and solve all our problems on our own. When worry starts to consume us and we just want to run through all the scenarios again and again, help us lift it to you in prayer and leave it in your capable hands. When fear of the unknown tries to steal all our peace, remind us that we don’t need to cower in the face of fear. We are overcomers and in you we have no reason to fear. Lord, grow our strength, our faith, and our trust in you.

Lord, teach us how to wait on you. We don’t want to run ahead or lag behind. We want to learn to know your voice and always walk in obedience to all you ask. Help us learn to trust your perfect timing. When we need to wait, help us wait with patience. Teach us what waiting is supposed to look like. Show us how to engage while we wait and not “check out”.

We thank you that you are the God of breakthroughs and the source of our breakthroughs. Let us learn to wait on you to work on our behalf. We are so grateful that you want to do that for us. We don’t have to make everything happen on our own. Show us if we are to have a part in your breakthrough and if so, make it clear what that is. If our part is only to leave it in your hands and trust you with it, then so be it. Thank you, Father, for your faithfulness to us!
