July 26, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭34:15

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;” Psalms 34:15 NIV

Lord, help us continue to move toward righteousness. As we do, we thank you so much, Father, for how you see and hear us. What a loving father you are. It is amazing to think about how the God over everything knows us so intimately. Wow. It isn’t even like you are aware of us because you know everything. No, you love and care for us individually. Thank you just isn’t adequate.

We are so grateful for how you see us. We are never alone. There isn’t one instance where you got distracted. Not one time where you forgot about us, or we were overlooked. You see it all. Every thought, every emotion, every tear, every second of every day of our lives you were there with us. We thank you that even when we feel alone or overlooked, we can turn to you and know that we are seen. You truly see us - who we really are, without a mask, unfiltered, in the raw, vulnerable, inadequate, in our failures. You see it all and you still accept and love us. Thank you so much, Father.

We also thank you for hearing us. You hear our every word. Our every prayer, our every thought. We thank you that there is no cry or prayer that you don’t hear. No tear shed that you don’t catch and store away. You hear us when no one else can, even when we don’t even understand ourselves. In those times when our souls are crying out and our mind and heart can’t even put what we are feeling into words, we thank you that you totally understand. You truly get us. We thank you that our prayers and cries are heard.

We are truly so loved and cared for by you. Even when we don’t seem to feel you or it feels like we can’t find you, the reality is that you couldn’t be closer. Thank you. You are so amazing!
