July 24, 2022 - Psalms 67:1-7
“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us—so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.” Psalms 67:1-7 NIV
Lord, we praise you for how gracious you are to us. You pour grace out over us in a gushing waterfall that seems to never end. We thank you for how your face shines upon us. You smile and sing over us. We thank you for how you love us. We want to see more of your face. Show us your glory. Let it radically change us. We know that with each glimpse of your glory we get radically changed. We can’t remain the same when we see just how holy you are. Draw us closer and make us more like you.
We ask that you continue to pour out your blessings over us as a testimony of your favor and love. Let the world see just how wonderful you are. We want to show them a blessed relationship with you that has them yearning for it as well. We want to praise you for your blessings, even when life is hard, and we don’t get what we want. Let our joy and dedication to you in those seasons speak even louder. Help us learn to be grateful and focus on the many blessings we do have, even when it is easier to see what is lacking than see the blessings. Lord, as long as we are loved by you and have life, there are plenty of reasons to be grateful.
We want to do all that we can to see the whole earth praise you. We want to lead the lost into your amazing blessings. Help us do our part in seeing that great harvest of souls come to know you. You are worthy!
