July 21, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭29‬:‭3‬-‭9

“The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”” Psalms 29:3-9 NLT

Lord, you are Almighty. All glory is yours. When you speak everything will obey. With your voice you created the heavens and the earth. When you want to be heard there is nothing that can drown your voice out. At the sound of your voice the wind and waves obey. Nothing can stand against you. You are majestic in all your ways. All the earth sings praises to your name. All glory to your name. Let this truly be the cry of our hearts. Help us to really live in a way that brings glory to your name. For you are worthy of all the glory and we never want to do anything to steal your glory or bring shame to your name. Lord, we ask for you to strip anything from our life that is doing this and help us to change that behavior to something where you are glorified. Let our greatest joy be seeing you glorified through our lives. For worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lord God Almighty!
