July 2, 2024 - Romans 5:21
“So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:21 NLT
Lord, we cannot thank you enough for your grace. It truly is wonderful. We would be doomed without it. No matter how much we want to live a righteous and holy life, we always fall short. Thank you for how your grace makes it possible to have right-standing with you. We are so grateful for the fact that by your grace we can spend all eternity with you. Jesus, thank you so much for the price that you paid to make this possible. As grateful as we are for your grace and forgiveness, we never want to use them against you. Help us never to choose to continue walking in our sin because we know that you will forgive it later. Never allow us to think that grace will just cover it, so it is ok. Lord, we want everything in our lives to honor you. We know we will fall short, and for that we praise you for grace, but help us to overcome our selfish desires and choose to not walk in sin. Help us remember the price that you paid for our sins and the love that you have to do that for us. Grow our love for you so that it helps us desire to live our lives to please you.
