July 18, 2024 - Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭21

“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.” Ephesians 1:19-21 NLT

Lord, we pray this verse into a reality in our lives today. Show us your power and help us truly understand it. When those of us who believe in you start to really understand the greatness of your incredible power in us, it will change the way we live. It is the power who raised you, Christ our Lord, from the dead. It is the power that enabled you to overcome all sin and the Devil. It is the same power that has you seated on the right hand of God in a place of honor. It is the power that places you far above any ruler, authority, power, leader, or anything else, both in this world and anywhere else, forever and ever. There is nothing that can begin to compete with your power. That is the power that you have placed within us. You have given us your authority when we became your son or daughter. Wow. Open our eyes to begin to understand what that means for us. Let that knowledge truly change how we view ourselves and the world around us. Let it fully transform how we live and how we relate to our enemy. Teach us how to use this power to transform the world around us for your glory.

In Jesus name, amen.
