July 18, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭91:2

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.” Psalms 91:2 NLT

Lord, we thank you that you want to be our protector and our place of safety. You want us to rest in you. Lord, thank you so much for how you guard us. We are never alone. You are always with us. And you are almighty. Nothing is more powerful than you are.

Lord, as much as you want to be our refuge and place of safety, you won’t force us to live in that place. To find that place of rest, we must give our worries and problems over to you and trust you with them. Help us learn how to live in the shelter of your wings. Show us how to stay in that place of rest and peace. We don’t want to wander out from under that safe place. If we start to wander away and take on worry, open our eyes to it. Encourage us to come back under your wings and rest in your peace.

Lord, we praise you for how faithful you are to us. We can rest in the fact that you will always be there for us. We put our trust in you. Regardless of what the world looks like around us or what their report is, we can trust in you. Your truth and your promises are always what we will choose to believe. We praise you that your promises will never fail us.

We just say thank you for the way you love us and protect us. We thank you for how much we matter to you. You are such an amazing God to serve. We love you.

In Jesus name, amen.
