July 15, 2022 - Colossians 3:16
“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Colossians 3:16 NLT
Lord, we praise you so much for your message. We praise you for coming and giving your life for us. We praise you for your love that you so clearly demonstrated to us. We praise you for your mercy, grace, and forgiveness that you freely give us. We praise you for the freedom that you bought for us. We praise you for the hope that your message gives us. We praise you that we can rest in your peace. We praise you that your message comes with a promise of eternal life. Your message is such a wonderful life-giving message. When your message fills our lives, we are filled with riches that are so much more valuable than gold and silver. Show us any area of our lives we are not living fully in your hope, your peace, your love, your freedom, your mercy, and your forgiveness. Then help us to realign any area found lacking to your message.
Lord, help us to not just be hearers of your message but to put your message into action. We ask that you increase our wisdom. Help us know your voice intimately. Put people in our lives with whom we can share your message. For those who don’t know you, give us discernment on how to share your message with them so they can hear and understand. For those in our lives who know you, show us how to inspire them to live a life deeply rooted in your message. For both groups, let us live our lives before them in a way that we demonstrates your message.
Lord, your message is amazing. It is the best news in all creation. Everyone needs to hear it and see it lived. You are worthy of seeing every knee bow before you. We want to do all that we can to see you receive the reward for all you have done for us.
