July 14, 2024 - Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12

“You are always and dearly loved by God! So robe yourself with virtues of God, since you have been divinely chosen to be holy. Be merciful as you endeavor to understand others, and be compassionate, showing kindness toward all. Be gentle and humble, unoffendable in your patience with others.” Colossians 3:12 TPT

Lord, we praise you for how you dearly love us. We can’t express how much we appreciate the way you see and value us. We deserve nothing from you, yet you long to pour your abundant love over us. We praise you for how you fully see us and how you have chosen us. You have called us to be holy and clothed us in your virtues. It is such an honor. Help us have a hunger after righteousness and more of you. We want to stand tall and wear your virtues in a way that is honoring to you. As we live here on earth and are surrounded by people who need to know you, help us to be a beautiful reflection of you to them. Give us your eyes and help us see people the way you see them. Help us offer love and patience to others the way you do for us. Teach us how to be kind, gentle and humble like you. Strengthen us so that we are unoffendable towards other people. We want to be quick to offer forgiveness and let things go. This is something we can’t accomplish in our own strength. Help us live that out every day. Open our eyes to anytime we are walking in something opposite of your virtues and help us immediately do what we need to do to change that behavior and make it right with you and others, if needed. We thank you, Lord, that with your help, we can live in a way that reflects you beautifully to the world around us.

In Jesus name, amen.
