July 12, 2023 - Psalms ‭23:5

“You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows.” Psalms 23:5 TPT

Lord, we thank you that you are anointing each one of us with your Holy Spirit. We thank you that you will not just give us a little, but you will give all we can drink. Oh, how we want that, Lord. We don’t just want a little bit. We want to be overflowing with as much of you as a human can handle. Come and fill us to overflowing. Wreck us for normal. We don’t want to settle for having just enough to get by. Don’t allow any lies in us that would tell us we don’t deserve more and cause us to limit what you want to do in us. We open our hearts today. We are desperate for more of you. We come before you today and drink of your well. We still ourselves and rest at your feet, allowing you to fill us fully. Replenish and revive us.

Come, Lord, and have your way in us. Have your way in every aspect of our lives. Our lives belong to you. As you fill us up, wash anything out of us that is not like you. Wash us clean. Let what overflows out of us be something beautiful that draws all mankind unto you.

We love that when we give you a little bit, you give us back a lot. We give you our messed-up lives and you give us your perfect life. We give you a flawed, frail vessel and you fill it to overflowing. You are such a good Father. Thank you for not just giving us a little bit and saying, “that is enough.” No, you always give abundantly. Let us always be willing to give you our little. Let us always allow you to have your way in our lives.
