January 7, 2025 - Isaiah 43:14-16
“This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon, forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of. I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea.” Isaiah 43:14-16 NLT
Oh, Lord, you are our Way Maker. No matter what we come up against, you can make a way. You will confuse armies and cause them to run in fear or confusion. You can part the sea that we are up against. Nothing can stand in your way. No matter what we are facing, you can make a way. Sometimes you might part the sea, sometimes you may let us walk on water and cross that way. Sometimes you may give us the strength to swim across with you by our side. Other times you might make a new path for us to walk around the sea. No matter what it looks like, you will never forsake us and will always get us where you want us to be, as long as we stay with you and walk in obedience to you. You are our redeemer, and we can fully trust you. Help us walk in your ways and always choose to obey what you ask. Jesus, draw us closer and let us fall more in love with you, our Redeemer and Way Maker. Grow our faith and our trust in you. Teach us how to silence the lies, stir our faith, and stand in expectancy, praising you for our breakthrough regardless of what the situation looks like.
You are the Holy One of Israel, our Creator and King. We declare that you are our Lord. We surrender our lives to your Lordship. You are worthy. You are the only one who is worthy. No one compares to you. What an honor it is to serve you. What a privilege to declare you Lord of our lives. All glory be to your powerful name, Jesus Christ our King.
In Jesus name, amen.
