January 7, 2024 - Proverbs‬ ‭7:1-5

“Stick close to my instruction, my son, and follow all my advice. If you do what I say you will live well. Guard your life with my revelation-truth, for my teaching is as precious as your eyesight. Treasure my instructions, and cherish them within your heart. Say to wisdom, “I love you,” and to understanding, “You’re my sweetheart. May the two of you protect me, and may we never be apart!” For they will keep you from the adulteress, with her smooth words meant to seduce your heart.” Proverbs 7:1-5 TPT

Father, we thank you for calling us your child. We thank you that you are loving, caring, and want the very best for us. You take the time to instruct us and teach us the ways that are good. We want to stick close to you and to those instructions. We want to listen and obey. We want to live well. We want to have lives that flourish and are blessed by you. Help us to guard our lives with your truth. When temptation comes, help us be quick to recognize it because we are so familiar with your wisdom that it is easy to spot a counterfeit. Open our eyes to when the enemy tries to seduce us away from you. Let your wisdom help us see and navigate around the enemy and keep us out of trouble. We want to value your wisdom like the true treasure it is. Wisdom, we say, “we love you. Understanding, you are our sweetheart.” May we never be apart, even for a moment.

Lord, thank you for all the wisdom and understanding you have given us access to. Thank you that you long for us to walk in it so that we can prosper and live successful lives. You are truly an amazing Father! We love you and long to walk closely with you all the days of our lives and into eternity!

In Jesus name, amen.
