January 7, 2022 - Psalms 37:4

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalms 37:4 NLT

Lord, we love you and want to live a lifestyle that takes delight in you. Your joy is our strength. Fill us up with it each morning and let it overflow out of us each day. Give us grateful hearts that live to praise you in every season. Open our eyes to see how you bless us each day and let that increase our love for you. Help us to always choose to find pleasure in serving you. Let your praises be ever on our lips. Living our life for you is truly the best decision we ever made, and we want to live in a way that shows the world around us how true that is. Prune anything out of our lives that is hindering us from finding delight in you. Teach each of us how to take delight in you in all that we are.

Lord, I am constantly blown away by your love for us. You are such an amazing father. Nothing compares to the way that you love us. You are so good and caring to us. We thank you for the gifts that you give us. You take care of our needs and for that we are forever grateful. But Lord, as much as we are so completely grateful for how you supply for our needs, the thing that displays your love to us even more is the little, seemingly unimportant things that you do for us. The way you give us those little things that our hearts desire, but we don’t even think to ask you for because they are just so insignificant in the grand scheme. We praise you for seeing those things. We praise you that you not only take the time to give us the big desires of our heart, but the small ones too. We praise you for how you lavish your love down over us. Thank you so much for your love and the way you pour it over us. You are truly an amazing God.
