January 5, 2025 - Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭10

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Luke 19:10 NLT

Jesus, what a marvelous thing that you came to seek and save those who are lost. The lost are not forgotten to you. They are not overlooked. You did not leave it up to them to find their way to heaven. It may seem sometimes that we found you, but the truth is you seek us out and work to draw us near to you.  You reveal yourself to us and our “finding you” didn’t happen by chance, but it is a very deliberate thing on your end. You long for no one to remain lost, but that all would allow you to save them. Holy Spirit, we ask for you to move in our world like never before. Reveal to the lost who Jesus truly is, and an understanding of the salvation Jesus offers. Draw the lost to you and make yourself known in our world.

Jesus, we praise you that you left Heaven and came to Earth to find and save us. Through your death, you made a way for us to be forgiven and set free from our sin. You purify us. You made a way for us to come to you. You remove hopelessness from our lives. You restore us into the relationship with you we were created to walk in. We are so grateful that you sought us out and saved us. Give us a greater understanding of what it cost you and let that realization grow our love for you. What an honor to serve a God that loves us enough to seek us out and make a way for us to come to you. Your love for us is spectacular and we praise you for it.

In Jesus name, amen.
