January 3, 2022 - Proverbs 1:33

Lord, we want to be people who always listen to you. We want to be quick to hear and obey. Help us know your voice. Help us to believe the words that you speak. Give us the courage to step out in what you are saying to us. We praise you for the promise that comes with listening to you. It is an amazing one. Praise to you for giving us a peace that can’t be disturbed. In a world where so many things are unsure, where it seems like everything coming at us is trying to steal our peace and cause us to live in fear, Lord, we praise you that those things don’t have to faze us. They don’t have the power to disturb your peace. Help us learn to rest in your peace and not allow the craziness around us to disturb us.

Lord, we praise you that your peace allows us to live free from fear. We proclaim that over our lives. We do not have to fear anything going on around us or anything that is attacking us. We can rest in your peace no matter what we are facing. Teach us to walk in confidence and courage, knowing that you are with us, and we can fully trust you. Let this year be marked as a year where we live in courage and confidence free from fear.

Lord, we praise you that we can live sheltered from the storms of life. You are such an amazing protector. We are sheltered by you, and nothing can defeat you or get past your defenses. We praise you that you have everything under control. Lord, all these things are promised to us when we listen. Turn our ears into you and teach us to hear you more clearly. We say, “YES, Lord”, to whatever you ask!
