January 28, 2024 - Proverbs 28:1, 4, 11
“...the innocent lovers of God, because of righteousness, will have the boldness of a young, ferocious lion! Those who turn their backs on what they know is right will no longer be able to tell right from wrong. But those who love the truth strengthen their souls. The wealthy in their conceit presume to be wise, but a poor person with discernment can see right through them.” Proverbs 28:1, 4, 11 TPT
Lord, help us learn to love walking in righteousness. When we mess up, let us be quick to ask for forgiveness. We want to be innocent lovers of you. Draw us in deeper. Reveal more of your love for us so we fall deeper in love with you. When that happens walking in righteousness is natural. And then we will be bold like young ferocious lions. Let that be true, Lord. Let us use that boldness to tear down the enemy’s kingdom.
Lord, help us never turn our back on you and your ways. Help our hatred of sin always be more than our desire to participate. Let conviction hit strong when we are knowingly choosing wrong. Strengthen our souls and make us so strong in you. Open our eyes to the places where we are turning from your ways and don’t even know it.
Lord, make us people who are wise and honor you always. We don’t ever want to presume to be wise but in reality, are walking/acting like a fool. We also ask for clear discernment to be in us. Let us be able to see right through the lies and actions of a fool. Don’t let us get pulled into their foolish actions or get tricked into something because we didn’t see the truth. Keep our eyes open and focused on you so the enemy can’t distract us with things not of you. And give us wisdom on how to respond to the lies/deception in a way that is from you. Thank you for your wisdom and how it helps to guard us.
